Getting Started
This guide will help you start using Text Localizer in your Figma projects. Text Localizer helps you manage text content for localization by scanning frames, exporting to CSV, and generating variables.
Installation
- Open Figma
- Go to the Community tab in Figma
- Search for "Text Localizer"
- Click "Install"

Quick Start Guide
Step 1: Select a Frame
- Open your Figma file
- Select a single frame that contains text layers you want to localize
- Launch Text Localizer from the Plugins menu
Step 2: Scan Text Layers
Once you've selected a frame:
- The plugin will automatically scan for text layers
- If no frame is selected, you'll be prompted to select one
- The plugin will display all detected text layers
Step 3: Choose Your Action
After scanning, you have three options:
Export to CSV
- Click the "Export CSV" button
- Save the generated CSV file
- Use this file for translation work
Generate Variables
- Select the text layers you want to convert
- Click "Generate Variable"
- The plugin will create Figma variables for the selected text
Rescan Frame
- If you've made changes to your frame
- Click "Rescan Frame" to update the text layer list
Basic Requirements
- Figma account (Free or Professional)
- Text layers must be directly in the selected frame
- One frame can be processed at a time

TIP
Make sure your text layers are properly named for easier identification in the exported CSV.
WARNING
Remember to select only one frame at a time. Multiple frame selection is not supported.
